Sharekit is a web-based file sharing service that lets you send any type of file to anyone, from any device, with no app download required. It works entirely in your browser.
To share a file: go to sharekit.in/upload, drop your files, set your options (expiry, password), and click Transfer. You'll get a shareable link that anyone can use to download your files.
No! You can share files without creating an account. Just go to the upload page and start transferring.
However, creating a free account gives you extra benefits: a dashboard to track all your transfers, transfer history, and the ability to manage your links. Sign up takes less than 30 seconds.
Sharekit works on any device with a modern browser:
- Android (Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Browser, Opera)
- iPhone and iPad (Safari, Chrome)
- Windows, Mac, Linux (all major browsers)
No plugins, no extensions, no downloads needed. If your browser can open websites, it can use Sharekit.
Sharekit supports 50+ languages. Currently fully translated: English, हिन्दी (Hindi), বাংলা (Bengali), Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Русский, العربية, and 中文.
Click the language button in the navigation to switch instantly. Your preference is saved automatically. We're adding more languages every month.
All file types are supported. This includes:
- Images: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, HEIC, WebP, SVG and more
- Videos: MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, WMV and more
- Audio: MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, FLAC, OGG and more
- Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX, TXT, CSV
- Compressed: ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, GZ
- Apps: APK (Android), IPA (iOS)
- Any other file type not listed above
There is no single file size limit — instead there is a monthly storage quota based on your plan:
- Free plan: 3 GB total per month
- Pro plan: 500 GB total per month
- Unlimited plan: No limits at all
So on the free plan, you could share one 3 GB file, or thirty 100 MB files — as long as the total doesn't exceed 3 GB for that month.
Sharekit supports resumable uploads. If your internet connection drops during an upload, the transfer will pause automatically. When your connection comes back, you can resume the upload from the exact point it stopped — you don't need to start over.
This is especially useful for large video files on slow or unstable connections.
It depends on your plan:
- Free plan: Links expire after 3 days
- Pro plan: Links expire after up to 30 days (you choose when creating the transfer)
- Unlimited plan: Links never expire
After a link expires, the files are permanently deleted from our servers for security.
No. The person receiving your files does not need a Sharekit account. They just need the share link. They open it in any browser and click Download — that's it.
If the transfer is password-protected, they will need to enter the password, but still no account required.
Yes! You can select and upload multiple files at the same time. Each file gets its own share link, or you can bundle them. The Unlimited plan allows sending to up to 5 devices simultaneously.
Yes, the Free plan is completely free — forever. You get 3 GB of transfers per month, support for all file types, and 3-day link expiry at no cost.
No credit card is required. We won't ask for payment unless you choose to upgrade to Pro or Unlimited.
We use Cashfree for payments, which supports all major Indian payment methods:
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, any UPI app)
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
- Net banking
- Wallets (Paytm, Amazon Pay, etc.)
All payments are processed in Indian Rupees (₹).
Yes, you can contact us at support@sharekit.in to cancel your subscription at any time. You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
For refund requests within 7 days of payment, email us and we'll review the request. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Both Pro and Unlimited include password protection and all features. The key differences are:
- Pro: 500 GB/month storage, 30-day expiry, 10,000 transfers per category
- Unlimited: No storage limit, no transfer limits, no expiry date, and the ability to send to 5 devices simultaneously
Pro is perfect for individual power users. Unlimited is for companies, teams, or people who share files professionally every day.
Yes. Sharekit uses industry-standard security measures:
- All files are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 (HTTPS)
- Files at rest are encrypted using AES-256
- Every uploaded file is automatically scanned for malware and viruses
- We never read or access your files
- Files are permanently deleted after the link expiry date
Never. Sharekit does not show advertisements, track your files, or sell your personal data to any third party. Our only source of revenue is subscription payments from Pro and Unlimited users.

When you enable password protection on a transfer (Pro/Unlimited), you set a password of your choice. The password is hashed using SHA-256 before being stored — we never store plain-text passwords.
When a recipient opens the share link, they see a password entry screen. Only if they enter the correct password will they be able to download the files. The link itself gives no information about the files.
Go to the login page and click "Forgot password?" under the password field. Enter your email address and we'll send you a reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
You can change your display name in the Dashboard → Settings tab. For email address changes, please contact us at support@sharekit.in with your request.
To delete your account and all associated data, send an email to support@sharekit.in with the subject "Delete my account". We will process the deletion within 7 business days and send you a confirmation.
